About Judge Dishman

I grew up in a small town in the Ozarks. When I was 10 years old, my family drove to Colorado for a vacation where we toured the United States Air Force Academy. I knew at that moment that I was being called to attend USAFA and become an Air Force Officer. Early in my career the Air Force allowed me to pursue my legal education at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where I obtained my law degree and met my wife. Today, I still serve as an Air Force Reserve Colonel, and have centered my career around serving military service members, and now the citizens of Oklahoma County.

Adherence to
the rule of law

The duty of the courts is to apply the facts of a case to the law that has been duly enacted by the Oklahoma Legislature and Governor. It is not the job of the courts to make new law.

Faith Driven

My faith is my most important value. Without Jesus Christ in my life, the rest is of little importance. After that, I do my best to adhere to the Air Force Core Values of Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do.
